Eclipse was commissioned by business analytics and data company Teradata to design and build the exhibition for its two-day conference Teradata Universe EMEA 2018.

For the event at London ExCeL, Eclipse was required to design and build custom exhibition stands, produce graphics, install services as well as carpeting and furniture.  It is not often that a creative event production company works on an exhibition of this scale, so in the run-up to the event, the team held planning meetings, carried out extensive site visits and held fortnightly conference calls in addition to daily communication with the client.

A lead project manager was appointed to the event to act as the main point of contact for the client for all elements of the exhibition and to ensure a smooth and robust delivery service was achieved. A specialist team, comprising a production manager, commercial manager, graphic designer and floor planner specialising in CAD, worked on the project.

For the exhibition itself, Eclipse custom built each stand using individual panels wrapped in white leatherette before applying vinyl graphics to create a seamless finish. Working with other services providers the Stands were also fitted with plasma screens to enable event sponsors to showcase their products and provide technical demonstrations to delegates.

In addition to this, Eclipse designed the Innovation Hub a zoned theatre area where delegates could attend small presentations on the exhibition floor.

The two-day build was challenging but went well, with a 40-strong crew, including carpenters, graphics installers, electricians and carpet fitters joining the core team to bring the exhibition to life.

Teradata, liked the way in which Eclipse worked as a cohesive and solution-orientated team resulting in them being a valued extension of the Teradata team which delivered a successful event.
