Eclipse brought cost-effective creativity to the catwalk recently as it worked with charity the Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children to produce a fashion show. The event at The London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square required Eclipse to create an attention-grabbing set with catwalk and provide sound and lighting to a tight budget.

Fronted by TV fashion stylist Helen Boyle and featuring clothing and accessories supplied by Newlife’s unique recycling and retail operation, the fashion show was attended by the City’s business leaders and raised vital funds for the charity.

Eclipse worked closely with a team at The London Marriott Grosvenor Square and the charity to plan the set before the event.

To help keep costs down and therefore maximise profits for the charity, it was decided that a set used for a Marriott Staff Awards event the previous day would be modified for the fashion show.

Eclipse’s technical sales manager also chose and remixed a playlist with a team of four and a show producer working on the night to operate the sound, lighting and cameras.

The fashion show was dubbed a success, raising over £10,000 for the Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children with Eclipse receiving a personal brilliance card from the hotel, saying thank you for creating a show-stopper of an event on a very low budget.
