Eclipse becomes Meeting Needs Charity partner

Eclipse has become a Charity Partner of events industry charity Meeting Needs.

The charity, founded by leading figures in the UK conference and events industry, raises funds to provide support to children and communities in the UK and worldwide.

As a Charity Partner Eclipse will give donations on a quarterly basis to Meeting Needs and will encourage staff to support the charity through personal fundraising events.

Fundraising plans so far include entering 10 riders into next year’s cycling event London Revolution. To take part, riders must cover more than 300km around London over two days, camping out at Ascot race course on the first night.

Eclipse managing director Robin Purslow decided to apply to be a Meeting Needs Charity Partner after hearing an inspiring talk about the charity’s work by executive committee member Tim Chudley.

He said: “Meeting Needs is an outstanding charity and with the obvious industry connection it feels like an ideal one to support. Each year Eclipse has supported the Dine & Disco event for Children in Need, but as it is one specific event we questioned if we could do more.

As a partner to Meeting Needs we can now channel our fundraising into another charity that has activity all year round. We are looking forward to helping them raise lots of funds.”

Recent projects and charities helped by Meeting Needs include Rebound Ability, a Sutton-based charity which provides trampolining activities for individuals with profound, multiple or complex learning difficulties and African Promise, a UK-based charity dedicated to improving the quality and provision of education in rural Kenya.
