Eclipse Founder Retires
After 28 years at the helm of Eclipse, John Gibbons has taken the decision to retire from his post as Managing Director. John’s retirement has brought to a close a remarkable career of nearly 30 years’ service to the company.
Formed during the 1980’s as a small AV rental company, Eclipse has grown to become a leading technical event production company operating globally.
During his tenure John has successfully guided Eclipse through various economic downturns, dips in the events industry and adapted to ensure Eclipse have always been pioneers of new event technology.
A real credit must go to John who has after years of hard work, determination and enthusiasm left an impressive legacy for others to grow and develop for the future.
Robin Purslow, John’s current business partner, who will be buying John out to take over the ownership of Eclipse commented “I speak for everyone at Eclipse when I say we will be sad to see John leave us. He has been instrumental in growing our business to what we see today. We wish him all the best for his well earned retirement”.
